Beat Along is a hub for musical research and dissemination that aims to promote education, research, and study of music genres with rhythm as the protagonist.
Education
The Beatalong was founded in 2018 with the intention of developing and democratizing access to the study of genres of popular music originating from the African diaspora, with rhythm as the protagonist. We focus on rhythm because we believe it is the foundation of all Western popular music and deserves to be studied and celebrated with a different attention.
Technology
Our vision is to create a platform that allows people to explore and study Afro-diasporic rhythms in a deep and practical way, understanding their historical narrative and cultural parameters.
Community
We are developing our materials with cutting-edge technology in order to create a platform that is easy to use and offers a wide range of features. Our development team is constantly working to improve and expand Beatalong, adding new features and making the platform even more user-friendly.
